About The Position

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you’ll work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers. You’ll help provide a quick and easy customer experience while keeping the store clean and clutter-free. Team members may work in different areas of the store to maintain clean sales floors and stockrooms and assist customers. Roles are available in Stock and Fulfillment, with the specific area of interest discussed during the interview. Responsibilities may include supporting sales-floor merchandising and customer service, assisting with transactions, maintaining fitting rooms, organizing stockrooms, receiving and processing merchandise, fulfilling and shipping customer orders, and providing general support to store operations. The position requires continuous movement and handling merchandise throughout the shift. The hourly pay range is $18.85–$19.65, depending on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses.

Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Work with the team to keep the sales floor runway ready, sized, and filled through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
Assist customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, including operating a point-of-sale system, bagging items, and handling bulky or heavy items.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive, unload, unpack, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, such as setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
