About The Position

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborate with teammates, and help create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers. You help provide a quick and easy customer experience and keep the store clean and clutter-free. You may occasionally work in different areas of the store to maintain the sales floor and stockrooms and help customers find merchandise. The posting identifies roles available in Stock and invites applicants to discuss their interests during the interview process. Stock and fulfillment work includes receiving and unloading freight, unpacking and delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling customer orders, and preparing and shipping orders according to quality standards. You also use inventory management systems to process and research shipments, maintain organized sales floors and stockrooms, and provide general store support such as setting up events, organizing the backroom, marking down merchandise, and relocating fixtures. The role requires continuous movement during shifts, handling merchandise and assisting customers, and lifting and carrying items. Pay is $18.85–$19.65 per hour, with offers dependent on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head.
Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment duties, frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner while following quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers.
Help ensure a quick and easy customer experience and keep the store clean and clutter-free.
Work in different areas of the store as needed to maintain the floor and stockrooms and help customers find merchandise.
