About The Position

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers. The role helps provide a quick and easy customer experience and keeps the store clean and clutter-free. Team members may work in different store areas to maintain clean sales floors and stockrooms and help customers find merchandise. Roles are available in Stock, with specific interests discussed during the interview process. Depending on the work area, duties include replenishing and straightening merchandise, assisting customers with transactions and fitting rooms, organizing stockrooms, processing and ticketing merchandise, receiving and delivering freight, fulfilling and shipping customer orders, and supporting general store operations. The position requires flexibility based on business needs and involves frequent movement and handling merchandise.

Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Help keep the salesfloor ready, sized, and filled through re-merchandising and straightening.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions, including operating point-of-sale systems and bagging items.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
Keep customer areas clean and clutter-free by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor.
Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver new merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner and prepare and ship orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean, organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, markdowns, and relocating fixtures.
