About The Position

Nordstrom Rack team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy store environment, collaborating to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and a quick, easy customer experience. Team members keep the store clean and clutter-free and may work in different areas of the store to help customers, maintain the salesfloor and stockrooms, and support store operations. Roles are available in Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment; applicants can discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Sales and Customer Service work includes keeping the salesfloor organized and stocked, assisting customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, supporting fitting rooms, returning clothing to the salesfloor, organizing stockrooms, using store technologies, following operational and asset-protection standards, and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment work includes receiving and processing merchandise, fulfilling and shipping customer orders, using inventory management systems, maintaining clean and organized floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support. The position requires continuous movement during shifts, frequent use of hands, and handling merchandise, including bulky or awkward items. Pay is $20.15–$20.95 per hour, with offers dependent on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching above the head to lift them.
Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with teammates to provide a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and a quick, easy customer experience.
Keep the store clean and clutter-free, including the salesfloor and stockrooms.
Re-merchandise and straighten the salesfloor throughout the day to keep it organized, sized, and stocked.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions using a point-of-sale system; bag items and handle bulky merchandise.
Greet and assist customers in fitting rooms, and sort and return clothing to the salesfloor.
Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Use store technologies and follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and prepare orders for shipment according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, processing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
