About The Position

Nordstrom Rack team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, moving and collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers. The role helps provide a quick and easy customer experience while keeping the store clean and clutter-free. Team members may work in different areas of the store to maintain clean sales floors and stockrooms and help customers find merchandise. Available departments include Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment; applicants can discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Sales and Customer Service duties include keeping the salesfloor organized, assisting customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, supporting fitting rooms, returning clothing to the salesfloor, organizing stockrooms, and meeting operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards. Stock Support and Fulfillment duties include receiving and delivering merchandise, fulfilling and shipping orders, using inventory management systems, maintaining organized floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support. The position requires continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, reaching, and hand use. Team members handle bulky items and regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Stock and Fulfillment team members frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The posted pay range is $20.15–$20.95 per hour, depending on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Performance-based incentives or bonuses may be available.

Responsibilities

Keep the salesfloor organized, sized, and stocked through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
Assist customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, including operating point-of-sale systems, bagging items, and handling bulky or heavy items.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
Sort and return clothing to the salesfloor to maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and ticketed accurately.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Adhere to operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
