About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring seasonal team members for Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment departments at Chandler Festival Rack. Team members work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, provide quick and easy customer experiences, and keep the store clean and clutter-free. Employees may occasionally work in different areas of the store to maintain sales floors and stockrooms and help customers. Sales and Customer Service duties include maintaining and replenishing the sales floor, cashiering across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, supporting fitting rooms, returning clothing to the sales floor, organizing stockrooms, checking in and ticketing merchandise, using store technologies, following operational and asset-protection standards, and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment duties include receiving and unloading freight, unpacking and delivering merchandise, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems to scan and process shipments, maintaining clean and organized sales floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as setting up events, organizing backrooms, markdowns, and relocating fixtures. The role requires continuous movement and frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, reaching, and use of hands. Employees handle merchandise, including bulky or awkward items, and lift items weighing up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally. Stock and Fulfillment employees frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The hourly pay range is $17.10–$17.80, depending on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses.

Responsibilities

Maintain and replenish the sales floor through re-merchandising and straightening.
Assist customers with cashiering and transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, including operating point-of-sale systems and bagging items.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
Sort and return clothing to the sales floor to maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience.
Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Use store technologies and follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and in accordance with quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory-control processes.
Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
