About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring team members for Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment. Team members work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, support a quick and easy customer experience, and help keep the store clean and clutter-free. Employees may work in different store areas as needed. Sales and Customer Service duties include maintaining and replenishing the salesfloor, assisting customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions, supporting fitting room operations, organizing merchandise and stockrooms, using store technologies, following operational and asset-protection standards, and promoting programs such as Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment duties include receiving and processing freight, delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems, maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as event setup, markdowns, backroom organization, and fixture relocation.

Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Maintain a salesfloor that is ready for customers by re-merchandising, straightening, sizing, and replenishing merchandise.
Assist customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, including operating point-of-sale systems, bagging items, and handling bulky items.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor.
Sort and return clothing to help keep the customer experience clean and clutter-free.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and ticketed accurately.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to packing and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory-control processes.
Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, processing markdowns, and relocating fixtures.
