About The Position

Guitar Center is hiring a Retail Sales Manager to lead a sales team, drive revenue, and create positive customer experiences in a vibrant, music-focused retail environment. The manager sets an upbeat, customer-focused tone and uses their music knowledge and leadership to support the team and customers.

The role includes motivating employees to meet or exceed sales targets, delivering training on sales techniques and product knowledge, and building a high-performing team through recruiting, training, and development. The manager also helps ensure customer satisfaction and oversees store operations, including inventory, labor, and scheduling.

The position pays $23.00–$26.00 per hour, depending on background and experience, and is eligible for participation in the Guitar Center Company bonus program based on company performance. Guitar Center describes its workplace as creative and vibrant and offers musicians the opportunity to take gig leave to perform and return to their job after a tour.

Requirements

• Passion for music and experience as a musician.
• Experience leading a sales team.
• Understanding of business metrics, including P&L statements and labor management.
• Strong communication skills.
