About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring a Seasonal Retail Sales Floor Support team member for its Riverwalk Outlets location. Team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, provide a quick and easy customer experience, and keep the store clean and clutter-free. Employees may work across Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment departments, and may occasionally assist in different areas of the store. Sales and Customer Service work includes keeping the salesfloor ready through re-merchandising and straightening; assisting customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms; operating point-of-sale systems; supporting fitting rooms; returning clothing to the salesfloor; organizing stockrooms; and following operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards. Team members also promote initiatives such as Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment work includes receiving and unloading freight, unpacking and delivering merchandise, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems, keeping salesfloors and stockrooms organized, and providing general store support such as preparing special events, markdowns, and relocating fixtures. The role requires continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift and frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, reaching, and use of the hands. Employees handle bulky or awkward items, regularly lift up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Stock and Fulfillment employees frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The stated pay range is $15.60–$16.20 per hour; offers depend on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Responsibilities

Keep the salesfloor ready through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
Assist customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, including operating point-of-sale systems and bagging items.
Provide a friendly cashiering experience and handle bulky or sometimes heavy merchandise.
Support fitting room customers and sort and return clothing to the salesfloor.
Maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments according to inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
