About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina is hiring a Retail Sales - Cashier to greet and assist customers, operate the cash register, and help maintain an attractive store. The role suits a positive, dependable team player with a warm, friendly personality who can remain respectful when interacting with challenging customers. Associates may be cross-trained in receiving, pricing, and stocking donations, as well as hanging, inspecting, and tagging textiles and clothing in a production-style setting. Stores are open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and open at 11 a.m. on Sunday. Associates should be available to work most store hours, especially evenings and weekends. Pay is $15.00. Eligible benefits are available after a waiting period.

Requirements

• A warm and friendly personality, positive attitude, dependability, teamwork, and respect when dealing with customers, including challenging customers.
• Availability to work most store hours, especially evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Production or similar experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register and provide customer service.
• Rotate stock, tidy the store, and continually maintain its appearance.
• May receive, price, and stock donations as part of cross-training.
• May hang, inspect, and tag textiles and clothing in a production-style setting.
