About The Position

EZCORP is hiring a Retail Sales Associate / Retail Customer Service Team Member (Pawnbroker) for its store at 11530 Ridge Rd, Thackerville, Oklahoma. The role provides daily customer interaction in a fast-paced retail environment, helping customers with sales and reaching mutually satisfying agreements regarding pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. Team members are expected to create a friendly, courteous, and respectful customer experience.

New hires begin as Trainees in a five-week paid training program. Upon completion, they receive a $0.50-per-hour raise and promotion to Pawnbroker. Further development may include the Pawnbroker Certification Program, which provides an additional $1 per hour, and opportunities to advance to Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Leader) or Assistant Manager. The Assistant Manager pathway includes a six-month training program.

Pay is based on experience and ranges from $14.00 to $15.00 per hour, with monthly uncapped bonus potential based on store and individual performance. The posting also describes competitive wages and benefits.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Customer service, cashier, or retail experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask.
• Self-motivation, a positive and outgoing personality, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test after a conditional offer.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of commonly pawned items, such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.
• Sales background.
• Bilingual ability.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide excellent customer service, interacting with customers in person and by phone.
• Help customers with sales and reach mutually satisfying agreements regarding pawn items.
• Process sales, loans, and extensions.
• Perform store opening and closing duties.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations.
