About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate / Retail Customer Service (Pawnbroker) serves customers in an EZPawn store, providing a friendly, courteous, and respectful experience. The role involves helping customers with sales and negotiating mutually satisfying agreements related to pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. Team members begin as trainees in a five-week paid training program, with opportunities to advance to Pawnbroker, Lead Pawnbroker, and Assistant Manager through additional certification and training programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Customer service, cashier, or retail experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask.
• Pass a criminal background check and drug test after a conditional offer.
• Self-motivation, a positive and outgoing personality, and a strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of commonly pawned items, such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.
• Sales background.
• Bilingual skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers in person and over the phone.
• Provide excellent customer service and help create a friendly, courteous, and respectful store environment.
• Process sales, loans, and extensions.
• Perform store opening and closing duties.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations.
