About The Position
As a Retail Selling Colleague in the Women’s Shoes department, you combine results-driven selling with genuine hospitality to create standout shopping experiences. You learn about customers’ needs, provide personalized recommendations, and connect them with appropriate products and services. Through warmth, product knowledge, and customer engagement, you build trust, meet sales targets, and encourage customer loyalty. The role also involves keeping the shopping space clean, organized, and inviting. Colleagues prepare for the day by reviewing sales goals, learning about new arrivals and popular items, and staying informed about trends and promotions. They create friendly customer relationships, maintain the sales floor and fitting rooms, update signs and pricing, support merchandise moves, promote loyalty benefits, and collaborate with teammates. This is a full-time position at Macy’s Westmoreland Mall. Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled for 30 or more hours per week; schedules include weekend shifts, and hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.
Requirements

- Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
Responsibilities

- Acquire new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty program benefits.
- Keep the sales floor and fitting rooms clean, organized, recovered, and ready for customers.
- Update signs and pricing and support merchandise moves as needed.
- Review sales goals and stay informed about new arrivals, top-selling items, trends, and promotions.
- Ensure customers have what they need and thank them sincerely at the end of the shopping experience.
- Support colleagues through honest, caring, and collaborative teamwork.
- Use electronic devices, computers, handheld equipment, and cash registers to perform job functions and process transactions.
- Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
