About The Position

Macy’s Retail Selling Colleagues combine results-oriented selling with genuine hospitality to create memorable customer experiences. They understand customer needs, provide personalized recommendations, share product knowledge, and connect customers with relevant products and services while working toward sales goals. The role involves engaging customers on the sales floor and in fitting rooms, building trust and customer loyalty, and helping maintain a clean, organized, inviting shopping environment. It is more than a cashier position and emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and achieving individual and store results. Colleagues prepare for the day by reviewing sales goals, learning about new arrivals, top-selling items, trends, and promotions. During the day, they welcome customers, build personal relationships, recover the sales floor and fitting rooms, update signs and pricing, and support merchandise moves. They share loyalty program benefits, make sure customers have what they need, and close interactions with a sincere thank-you. Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled for 30 or more hours per week. Schedules include weekend shifts, and hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.
