Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams provide WOW! Customer Service by helping customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintaining well-stocked inventory, and offering product advice. The Retail Sales Associate helps exceed customer expectations, supports sales and store operations, and contributes to a knowledgeable, positive retail environment. The position offers opportunities for career growth in the automotive parts industry. The associate assists customers with product selection and automotive advice, recommends products, services, and promotions, and helps meet store sales goals. They maintain merchandise and store organization, follow point-of-sale and loss-prevention procedures, learn about automotive products and promotions using AutoZone systems, and use diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions. The role also involves following safety policies and using required personal protective equipment. This is a part-time position. Applicants must be at least 16 years old, be able to lift, load, and deliver merchandise, and have flexible availability for mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed. Basic automotive parts knowledge, bilingual Spanish and English communication skills, automotive retail experience, and ASE certification are preferred.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow point-of-sale and loss-prevention policies, and support proper financial management.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently using structured processes and follow company safety policies, including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
