About The Position

As a Seasonal Retail Selling Colleague at Macy’s, you combine results-focused selling with genuine hospitality to create memorable holiday shopping experiences. You learn about customers’ needs, offer personalized recommendations, and connect them with suitable products and services on the sales floor and in fitting rooms. You work toward sales goals through customer engagement and effective selling behaviors, building trust and customer loyalty. You also help keep the shopping space clean, organized, and inviting. At the start of the day, colleagues prepare the sales floor, review sales goals, and learn about new arrivals, popular items, trends, and promotions. During the day, they welcome customers, build relationships through friendly conversations, and maintain a shoppable environment by merchandising new receipts, processing damages and vendor returns, updating signs and prices, and supporting merchandise moves. They share Loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, and end interactions with a sincere thank-you. Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled for 10–20 hours per week; hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.
