About The Position

Pet Food Express is seeking a sales-driven Retail Sales Associate to help pet parents find suitable products and provide trusted, tailored advice. Sales Associates proactively engage with customers and their pets, learn about products and promotions, recommend solutions, operate the cash register, stock shelves, and help maintain a welcoming store environment. The role includes daily training and ongoing learning, reliable attendance, and supporting general store operations, including additional duties as assigned. The work has physical requirements, including heavy lifting, cleaning, and extended periods of standing and movement.

Responsibilities

• Proactively approach and engage with customers and their pets.
• Ask questions to understand customer needs and build lasting relationships.
• Use the Pet Food Express Whole Life Approach to provide tailored product recommendations.
• Participate in daily training and ongoing educational programs to improve product knowledge and sales skills.
• Stay informed about new products, promotions, and the pet community.
• Educate customers about product benefits and solutions for their pets’ needs.
• Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance to support store operations and teamwork.
• Operate the cash register efficiently and provide a friendly checkout experience.
• Unload shipments and stock the store, including lifting heavy items.
• Clean and maintain the store, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning pet messes as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall store operations.
