About The Position
Sun Tan City is hiring a part-time Retail Sales Associate in Beaumont, Kentucky. The role serves clients in a high-energy salon environment, building relationships, understanding client needs, and recommending products and services. Associates help maintain salon cleanliness, meet minimum sales requirements, and work as part of a team while following company policies and procedures. The position may also require working independently and alone during shifts as business needs require. Compensation starts at $11.50 per hour or more, with performance bonuses. The advertised average earnings of $15.50 per hour are not guaranteed and reflect team members who meet all performance and training criteria. Bonus opportunities reward performance and reliability.
Requirements
- Basic computer skills and knowledge.
- Ability to provide professional customer service and engage with clients to understand and meet their needs.
- Ability to make product and service recommendations and maintain minimum sales requirements.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced salon environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment and bend down to pick up trash and towels.
- Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
- Ability to work independently and alone during shifts when business needs require.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent, professional customer service and ensure clients’ needs are met.
- Engage with clients, build good relationships, and understand and meet their needs.
- Recommend products and services to clients.
- Maintain the minimum sales requirements.
- Multi-task, including cleaning tanning beds as clients leave and engaging new clients as they arrive.
- Help keep tanning rooms, the lobby, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas clean.
- Work cohesively with a team in an upbeat, fast-paced salon environment and follow company policies and procedures.
- Work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.
