About The Position

EZCORP is hiring a Retail Sales Associate / Retail Customer Service Team Member (Pawnbroker) for its EZPawn store at 1104 E. Front, Alice, Texas 78332. The role offers pay from $12 to $13 per hour based on experience, with opportunities to increase pay and advance through a structured career path. New hires begin as Trainees in a five-week paid training program; completing it leads to a $0.50-per-hour raise and promotion to Pawnbroker. Employees can pursue a Pawnbroker Certification Program for an additional $1 per hour, explore promotion to Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Leader), and apply for an Assistant Manager position with a six-month training program.

The position involves daily customer interaction and helping customers with sales and pawn transactions involving items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. Team members are expected to create a friendly, courteous, and respectful store environment. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Customer service, cashier, or retail experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test after a conditional offer.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide excellent customer service in person and by phone.
• Interact with customers to assist with sales and reach mutually satisfying agreements regarding pawn items.
• Process sales, loans, and extensions.
• Perform store opening and closing duties.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and regulations.
