About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate helps AAA members and customers by recommending memberships, insurance referrals, and financial products; assisting with travel planning; responding to Roadside Assistance calls; and supporting in-store services and operations. The role is based at 100 Rosa Parks Dr., Akron, OH 44311. The schedule is Monday 9 a.m.–6 p.m., Tuesday through Friday 9 a.m.–5 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m.–12 p.m., for a 37.5-hour workweek. There are no late nights or Sundays. Hourly pay is $15.54–$20.00, adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. The position also offers a monthly incentive opportunity, averaging $162–$389 in bonus earnings based on individual performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to build trust and clearly explain value.
• Comfort navigating multiple systems in a fast-paced environment.
• Satisfactory pre-employment and post-employment screening results, including criminal, drug, and state and/or vendor-specific screenings.
• Ability to obtain any necessary membership or other license required to perform the essential functions of the position.

Nice To Haves

• Previous sales experience.
• Basic geography knowledge.
• Notary Public designation, or willingness to obtain it within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Promote and recommend AAA memberships, insurance referrals, and financial products.
• Assist customers with travel planning, including hotels, car rentals, and vacation packages.
• Manage and respond to Roadside Assistance calls throughout the day.
• Help with cashiering, tag and title services, and ID services as needed.
