About The Position

Retail Sales Associates help ensure New Balance retail stores operate smoothly and provide exemplary customer service. With product knowledge and proper selling techniques, they assist customers throughout each step of the transaction process while positively representing the New Balance brand.

This seasonal position is based at Rockingham Park, New Hampshire. The listed hourly pay range is $13.40–$20.15, with actual base pay varying based on factors including relevant experience, time in role, internal equity, and geographic location.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with cash register functions.
• Ability to quickly perform basic math.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift 4 lbs. frequently and a maximum of 8 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to kneel or squat frequently; move product boxes up to 50 lbs. with assistance if necessary; stand for extended periods; climb ladders occasionally; and climb and descend stairs frequently, depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service using proper selling techniques, product knowledge, and the GUEST service model: greet customers, understand their needs, educate them about product features and benefits, solve problems or answer questions, and complete transactions through suggestive selling, multiple selling, and effective closing.
• Correctly measure and fit customers with appropriate New Balance products.
• Inform customers about current promotions.
• Keep the sales floor neat, organized, well stocked, and looking its best.
• Ensure items are labeled and price marked properly.
• Protect products by greeting customers, attaching and detaching security tags, monitoring merchandise, and reporting shrinkage and security violations.
• Follow safety regulations, including proper lifting procedures, and promptly report accidents and near misses.
