As a Seasonal Retail Selling Colleague, you combine results-driven selling with genuine hospitality to create memorable holiday shopping experiences. You learn about customers’ needs, provide personalized recommendations, connect them with appropriate products and services, and use product knowledge and a personal approach to build trust, meet sales targets, and inspire loyalty. The role is centered on customer service and selling, rather than cashiering alone, and includes helping keep the shopping space clean, organized, and inviting. Colleagues prepare for the day by reviewing sales goals, learning about new arrivals, top-selling items, trends, and promotions, and getting the sales floor ready for customers. During the day, they engage customers in friendly conversations, maintain a shoppable space through merchandising and other merchandise tasks, share loyalty-program benefits, and provide a sincere, helpful checkout experience. They collaborate with teammates, take pride in their work, work toward individual and store results, and learn from one another. Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled for 10–20 hours per week, depending on business needs and availability. This position requires flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as regular, dependable attendance and punctuality. The physical requirements include talking, lifting, frequent movement, standing, reaching, standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 25 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and reaching above eye level. The role also requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers.
