About The Position

EZCORP is hiring a Retail Sales Associate, also described in the posting as a Retail Customer Service Representative (Pawnbroker), to serve customers in a fast-paced store environment. The role involves daily customer interaction and helping customers reach mutually satisfying agreements regarding pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. Team members provide a friendly, courteous, and respectful customer experience.

New hires start as Trainees in a five-week paid training program. Completing the program brings a $0.50-per-hour raise and promotion to Pawnbroker. Team members may continue through the Pawnbroker Certification Program for an additional $1 per hour and pursue advancement to Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Manager) or Store Manager in Training, which includes a 12-week training program.

The listed pay range is $11.00 to $15.00 per hour, based on experience. The posting also offers monthly uncapped bonus potential based on store and individual performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Customer service, cashier, or retail experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask.
• Self-motivation, a positive and outgoing personality, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of commonly pawned items, such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.
• Sales background.
• Bilingual ability.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and interact with them in person and by phone.
• Provide excellent customer service and build customer relationships.

• Process sales, loans, and extensions.
