About The Position

As a Retail Selling Colleague at Macy’s, you combine results-driven selling with genuine hospitality to create standout shopping experiences. You learn about customers’ needs, offer personalized recommendations, and connect them with suitable products and services. Through customer engagement, product knowledge, and smart selling behaviors, you work toward sales goals, build trust, and inspire customer loyalty. The role is not limited to cashier duties; it centers on the customer and creating memorable experiences. You also help keep the sales floor and fitting rooms clean, organized, and inviting. Colleagues review sales goals, learn about new arrivals, top-selling items, trends, and promotions, and engage customers with friendly, personal conversations. They recover the sales floor and fitting rooms, update signs and pricing, support merchandise moves, share loyalty program benefits, and thank customers. Teamwork, collaboration, continuous improvement, and achieving individual and store results are important parts of the role. This is a part-time position at the Roseville Galleria. Part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12–24 hours per week, with hours dependent on business needs and colleague availability. Schedules include weekend shifts, and availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required. The position involves frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, as well as standing, lifting, moving, reaching, and other physical activities.

Requirements

Ability to frequently use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and process register transactions.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable sales floor and fitting rooms by recovering merchandise and supporting merchandise moves.
Update signs and pricing as needed.
Share loyalty program benefits and complete customer interactions with a sincere thank-you.
Collaborate with and support teammates to serve customers and the community.
Use computers, handheld equipment, and cash registers to perform job functions and process transactions.
