About The Position

As a Retail Selling Colleague at Macy’s, you combine results-driven selling with genuine hospitality to create standout shopping experiences. You learn what customers need, offer personalized recommendations, and connect them with appropriate products and services. You build trust and customer loyalty through product knowledge, customer engagement, and smart selling behaviors while working toward sales goals. The role includes helping maintain a clean, organized, and inviting shopping space.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.

Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers and create friendly, personal conversations to build customer relationships.
Understand customer needs and recommend relevant products and services.
Work toward daily sales goals through customer engagement and effective selling behaviors.
Stay informed about sales goals, new arrivals, popular items, trends, and promotions.
Maintain the sales floor and fitting rooms by recovering merchandise and keeping spaces clean, organized, and shoppable.
Update signs and pricing and support merchandise moves as needed.
Share the benefits of the Loyalty program, ensure customers have what they need, and thank them for their visit.
Collaborate with and support colleagues to serve customers and communities.
Use handheld equipment, computers, and cash registers to perform job functions and process transactions.
