About The Position

As a Retail Selling Colleague at Macy’s, you combine results-focused selling with genuine hospitality to create memorable shopping experiences. You learn what customers need, offer personalized recommendations, and connect them with suitable products and services. By engaging customers, using smart selling behaviors, and building trust, you work toward sales goals and inspire customer loyalty. The role involves more than cashiering: customer service is central, and you also help keep the shopping area clean, organized, and inviting. Colleagues prepare for the day by reviewing sales goals, learning about new arrivals, popular products, trends, and promotions, and ensuring the sales floor is ready for customers. During the day, they welcome and engage customers, build relationships, recover the sales floor and fitting rooms, update signs and pricing, and support merchandise moves. They share loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, and close interactions with a sincere thank-you. Teamwork, continuous improvement, and achieving individual and store results are important parts of the role. This is a part-time position at Dulles Town Center. Part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12–24 hours per week. Schedules include weekend shifts, and hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.
