About The Position

EZCORP is hiring a Retail Sales Associate / Retail Customer Service Team Member (Pawnbroker) at its EZPawn location in Corpus Christi, Texas. The role involves helping customers with sales and reaching mutually satisfying agreements regarding pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. Team members provide a friendly, courteous, and respectful customer environment and handle sales, loans, and extensions.

The position offers a structured career path. Employees begin as trainees in a five-week paid training program; upon completion, they receive a $0.50-per-hour raise and promotion to Pawnbroker. Employees can then pursue a Pawnbroker Certification Program for an additional $1 per hour, explore promotion to Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Leader), and apply for Assistant Manager, which includes a six-month training program. The stated pay range is $12 to $14 per hour based on experience, with monthly uncapped bonus potential.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Customer service, cashier, or retail experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, positive, and outgoing personality with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test after a conditional offer.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of commonly pawned items, such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.
• Sales background.
• Bilingual ability.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide excellent customer service in person and by phone.
• Interact with customers and help reach mutually satisfying agreements regarding pawn items.
• Process sales, loans, and extensions.
• Perform store opening and closing duties.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations.
