As a Retail Sales and Recovery Associate, you help create a welcoming shopping experience through genuine hospitality and attention to detail. You maintain clean, organized, and visually engaging merchandise displays, fitting rooms, and sales floors, and provide friendly, high-quality service that supports customer loyalty and store sales goals. You prepare for the day by reviewing goals, new arrivals, top sellers, and promotions. Throughout your shift, you welcome customers, offer personal assistance, recover the sales floor and fitting rooms, update signs and pricing, and support merchandise moves. You share loyalty-program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, and close interactions with a sincere thank-you. You also support colleagues through honesty, care, and collaboration, while continually learning and working toward individual and store results. The position requires talking, lifting, frequent movement, standing, reaching, and use of computers and other technology. Colleagues must be able to stand for at least two consecutive hours, lift at least 25 pounds, and stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach above eye level. Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment are also required. Availability must include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with dependable attendance and punctuality. Macy’s describes the role as seasonal in the job title. Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled for 30 or more hours per week, while part-time colleagues are typically scheduled for 12–24 hours; hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.
