About The Position
The Retail Operations Associate is responsible for shipping and receiving stock and shipments, administering daily tasks, and ensuring products are merchandised to provide customers with a great in-store experience. Successful associates collaborate with teammates, focus on customer service, take initiative, stay organized and detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment, protect assets by following protocols, and learn the technology and retail systems needed for the role. Guitar Center’s mission is to nurture lifelong musicians and help people experience the joy of creating music in inclusive, customer-first environments.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work in a loud environment for 5–8 hours.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Perform tasks related to inventory control.
- Ship and receive gear and other items.
- Prepare for and execute inventory cycle counts.
- Stock and merchandise products according to a planogram.
- Print and place signage and price signs (POP).
- Handle cash.
- Maintain awareness of and help control shrink.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
