About The Position

Guitar Center’s Retail Operations Associate supports store operations by receiving and shipping inventory, completing daily operational tasks, and ensuring merchandise is presented to provide customers with a positive in-store experience. The role involves inventory control, cycle counts, stocking and merchandising according to planograms, preparing and placing signage and price signs, cash handling, and shrink awareness and control. Successful associates collaborate with teammates, focus on customer service, take initiative, stay organized in a fast-paced environment, and learn the technology and retail systems needed for the job. The position requires working in a loud environment for 5–8 hours, as well as availability for weekends, holidays, and evenings. Associates must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

Requirements

Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to work in a loud environment for 5–8 hours.
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to work collaboratively, provide strong customer service, show initiative, stay organized, multitask, and pay attention to detail.
Ability to learn and use retail technology, systems, equipment, and computer programs.

Responsibilities

Ship and receive gear, stock, and other items.
Perform inventory-control tasks, including preparing and executing cycle counts.
Stock and merchandise products according to planograms.
Print and place point-of-purchase signage and price signs.
Handle cash.
Maintain awareness of shrink and help control it.
Complete additional duties as assigned.
Collaborate with teammates and provide a positive customer experience.
