About The Position

Coastal Beverage Company, Inc., a beverage distributor in Eastern North Carolina, is hiring a Retail Merchandiser to safely stock and maintain beverage products in customer accounts. This field-based role requires consistent in-person presence in customer accounts during designated business hours to support customer satisfaction and merchandising operations. The employee must maintain regular, punctual attendance and provide professional customer service. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 7:30 AM to approximately 3:30 PM, and as needed. Pay is $17.50 per hour and up, depending on experience, with mileage reimbursement for business use of a personal vehicle. The role supports the sales and delivery departments by servicing and merchandising retail accounts. Products must be stocked and beverage sections, racks, and displays kept full; point-of-sale materials must be neat, clean, and current; and displays must be maintained according to Coastal Beverage Company standards. Other duties may be assigned. Candidates must consent to pre-employment inquiries and testing, including a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, physical assessment (job simulation), and drug testing. Requirements

Education equivalent to a high school diploma.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Basic mathematical skills, including arithmetic with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables where limited standardization exists.
Computer skills, including knowledge of email software and the Internet.
Ability to drive, a valid driver's license, and a driving record compliant with company standards.
Professional appearance, excellent time management, and outstanding customer service skills.
Ability to meet the physical demands described for the role, including lifting and carrying cases up to 46 pounds and occasionally pushing or pulling up to 90 pounds using a pallet jack.

Responsibilities

Assist the sales and delivery departments by servicing and merchandising retail accounts professionally.
Stock and merchandise various products, ensuring beverage sections, racks, and displays are completely filled.
Keep point-of-sale materials neat, clean, and current.
Maintain displays according to Coastal Beverage Company's standards.
Maintain regular and punctual in-person attendance at customer accounts during designated business hours.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
