Retail Merchandise Associate
About The Position
The Retail Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate adheres to operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role includes assisting customers, accurately processing purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, preparing merchandise for the sales floor, and maintaining merchandising, recovery, cleanliness, and safety standards. Associates support store culture and shrink-reduction goals, follow applicable laws and procedures, and perform other duties as assigned. The position is at Marshalls Store 0241 in Linden, New Jersey, and has a starting pay range of $15.92 to $16.42 per hour.

Responsibilities
- Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following established customer experience practices.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow merchandising philosophy, procedures, and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
