Retail Merchandise Associate
About The Position
The Retail Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean, organized store. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. Associates contribute to a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; provide and receive recognition and constructive feedback; and help maintain a safe and welcoming environment. The position may include cashiering, merchandise processing, sales-floor recovery, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
- Engage and interact with customers while modeling established customer experience practices for internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Ring purchases and returns accurately and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow the company merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and participate in maintaining the cleanliness of the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
