About The Position

The Retail Merchandise Associate delivers a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, applying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The associate follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The role supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; handles customer purchases and returns; promotes credit and loyalty programs; processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor; and participates in store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction activities. The associate also provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback, follows applicable labor laws and company policies, and performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Role-model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
