About The Position

The Retail Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate adheres to operational, merchandising, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role includes supporting a positive store culture, processing customer purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, preparing merchandise for the sales floor, and maintaining store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and organization. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with customers to deliver a highly satisfying customer experience.
• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain and uphold the merchandising philosophy and follow merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain and clean the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
