About The Position

The Salon Director in Training helps drive salon performance, deliver superior client service, and maintain operational excellence to meet or exceed productivity goals. The role manages and supervises Tanning Consultants, leads by example in company operations, and holds the team accountable for an exceptional client experience. It includes overseeing daily salon operations, supporting sales and expense control, maintaining staffing and inventory, and coaching team members. The position requires working nights and weekends and a five-day workweek of approximately 35 to 45 hours, depending on hourly or salary status.

Requirements

Management and/or sales experience is required.
Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple situations simultaneously.
Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
Problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills.
Strong leadership skills, including the ability to coach and mentor.
Team-building skills.
Ability to prioritize and delegate.
Ability to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage daily salon operations in a fast-paced environment.
Lead by example in company operations, create a client-centric experience, and meet personal sales expectations.
Maintain a professional and impeccably clean salon environment.
Establish clear goals and objectives for team members.
Coach, train, and provide feedback to improve team members’ daily performance.
Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with other Salon Director functions.
Assist the Salon Director in controlling revenue and expenses.
Help maintain appropriate staffing levels to support productivity and customer service while controlling labor costs.
Manage and supervise Tanning Consultants to achieve company goals.
