About The Position

The Salon Director in Training helps drive store performance, foster superior client service, and maintain operational excellence to meet or exceed productivity goals. This role manages and supervises Tanning Consultants, leads by example in company operations, and holds the team accountable for delivering an exceptional client experience. The position involves monitoring salon operations, coaching team members, supporting sales and expense management, and helping maintain productive staffing levels. The role requires a five-day workweek of approximately 35 to 45 hours, depending on hourly or salary status, including nights and weekends.

Requirements

Management and/or sales experience is required.
Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple situations simultaneously.
Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
Problem-solving and organizational/planning skills.
Strong leadership skills, including the ability to coach and mentor.
Team-building skills.
Ability to prioritize and delegate.
Ability to work nights and weekends.
Ability to work a five-day workweek of approximately 35 to 45 hours, depending on hourly or salary status.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment and bend down to pick up items from the floor.
Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
Ability to perform salon cleaning, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage daily salon operations in a fast-paced environment.
Lead by example in company operations, create a client-centric experience, and meet personal sales expectations.
Maintain a professional and impeccably clean salon environment.
Establish clear goals and objectives for team members.
Coach, train, and provide feedback to improve team members’ daily performance.
Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with other Salon Director functions.
Assist the Salon Director in controlling top-line revenue and expenses.
Help maintain appropriate staffing levels to support productivity and customer service while controlling labor costs.
