About The Position
The Salon Director in Training helps drive store performance, provide superior client service, and maintain operational excellence to meet or exceed productivity goals. This role manages and supervises Tanning Consultants, leads by example in company operations, and holds the team accountable for delivering an exceptional client experience. The position works in a fast-paced salon environment and includes nights and weekends, with a five-day workweek of approximately 35 to 45 hours depending on hourly or salary status. The posted pay is $15.00 per hour or more in base pay, with performance and store bonuses producing average earnings of $20.00 per hour for management employees who meet performance and training criteria. The $20.00 average is not guaranteed. The company describes opportunities for ongoing and monthly bonuses. Sun Tan City is part of the Glow Brands family, which also includes Planet Fitness and Buff City Soap. The company operates approximately 250 salons in 20 states and employs over 2,200 people. Requirements
- Management and/or sales experience.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple situations simultaneously.
- Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
- Problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to coach and mentor.

- Ability to perform salon cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.

Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage the salon’s daily operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Lead by example in company operations, create a client-centric experience, and meet personal sales expectations.
- Maintain a professional and impeccably clean salon environment.
- Establish clear goals and objectives for team members.
- Coach, train, and provide feedback to improve team members’ daily performance.
- Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with other Salon Director functions.
- Assist the Salon Director in controlling revenue and expenses.
- Help maintain appropriate staffing levels to support productivity and customer service while controlling labor costs.
- Manage and supervise Tanning Consultants to achieve company goals and deliver an exceptional client experience.
