About The Position

A Visionworks General Manager leads the store’s people and business, using business and profitability knowledge to drive success. The role manages a service-driven team and supports a simple, human, and bold patient and customer journey from the doctor appointment through eyewear pickup. The General Manager is responsible for maximizing store profitability while maintaining the patient and customer experience and meeting organizational financial and performance goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three or more years of related experience required.
• Licensed General Managers must have a current State Opticians License.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Optical management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maximize store profitability without compromising the patient and customer experience by setting and exceeding financial and performance goals.
• Engage regularly with the Doctor to discuss business needs, associates, and the patient and customer experience.
• Prepare and plan the business for the day by managing incoming traffic, doctor appointments, and scheduled eyewear services.
• Hire, train, coach, develop, and support store associates so they perform their roles with excellence and deliver a strong patient and customer experience.
• Remove obstacles and resolve issues in the patient and customer experience when needed.
• Lead, execute, and improve broad operational activities to meet the store’s financial and customer experience goals.
