About The Position

A Visionworks General Manager leads both the team and the business. The role calls for a business-savvy self-starter who understands profitability and the factors that drive success. The General Manager leads a service-oriented team to deliver a simple, human, and bold patient and customer journey from doctor appointment through eyewear pickup. The General Manager is responsible for achieving store financial and performance goals while protecting the patient and customer experience, coordinating regularly with the Doctor, planning daily business and traffic, developing associates, resolving experience issues, and leading store operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Three or more years of related experience.
Licensed General Managers must have a current State Opticians License.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Optical management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maximize store profitability without compromising the patient/customer experience by setting and exceeding organizational financial and performance goals.
Engage regularly with the Doctor to discuss business needs, associates, and the patient/customer experience.
Prepare and plan daily business by managing incoming traffic, doctor appointments, and scheduled eyewear services.
Hire, train, coach, develop, and support store associates so they perform their roles excellently and deliver a flawless patient/customer experience.
Remove obstacles and resolve issues in the patient/customer experience when needed.
Lead, execute, and improve broad operational activities to meet the store’s financial and customer experience goals.
