About The Position

The Retail Framing Manager leads and coaches a team of framers focused on building customer relationships and creating custom framing solutions. The role drives custom framing sales and helps customers create memorable framing solutions for their art. It supports the Store Manager in maintaining store standards, compliance, team performance, and operational execution. The position is based in the Meriden, Connecticut store. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to regularly bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch; move throughout the store; and remain standing for long periods.
• Ability to lift heavy boxes and frames and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous custom framing experience is preferred.
• Retail management experience.
• Experience leading a sales team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in leading adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and company programs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and requirements, execution of company policies and standards, and accountability for store conditions and results.
• Develop and coach the team’s selling behaviors.
• Plan workload with the Store Manager and lead delivery of high-quality custom framing solutions on time.
• Achieve individual KPIs and manage the framing team toward its role KPIs.
• Review sales and production workload and build plans, including sales-floor time for networking.
• Manage and execute assigned inventory management processes.
• Manage and execute shrink and safety programs.
• Serve as Manager on Duty.
• Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, observing, and training new team members; support talent development and participate in team performance management activities.
• Partner daily with Managers on Duty regarding expectations for framing and other framers.
• Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner, remain positive in difficult situations, promote the organization’s vision and values, and serve as a positive role model.
• Participate in truck unloading and stocking to ensure truck standards are followed and completed within budget.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and company programs and help ensure a safe environment.
• Acknowledge customers, help them locate products, and provide solutions.
• Assist with omnichannel processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
