Retail Customer Service Cashier
About The Position
Love’s cashiers work in a fast-paced environment, providing customers with fast, friendly, and accurate service while helping maintain clean facilities. Duties vary with business needs, so flexibility and teamwork are important. No prior experience is required; training is provided. The role includes helping customers find items and answering questions, processing register transactions and offering additional sales opportunities, and using methods and technology to maintain food-safety conditions for fresh-food and deli products. Cashiers clean their work area and other areas of the property, including the sales floor, restrooms, showers, and fuel pumps, and complete trash runs. Team members may also cross-train in other departments or leadership roles.
Requirements
- Ability to move and lift 25 or more pounds.
- Ability to work in various temperatures.
- Flexibility and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Help customers find items, answer questions about products and services, and address customer needs.
- Complete customer transactions, balance the cash register, and offer additional sales opportunities while following state and local laws.
- Use methods and technology to ensure proper food-safety conditions for fresh-food and deli products.
- Clean the direct work area, sales floor, restrooms, showers, and gas/diesel pumps, and complete trash runs.
- Potentially cross-train in Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
