About The Position
The Retail Cashier / Customer Service Associate provides friendly, efficient service at the register and supports everyday store operations. Responsibilities include maintaining a welcoming and clean store, stocking merchandise, and helping maintain foodservice and coffee areas. The role involves processing transactions, including regulated alcohol and tobacco sales, and promoting current sales and specials. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. The store operates 24 hours a day and requires flexible availability; the listed shift is part-time, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., including weekends.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old to meet legal age requirements for regulated product sales.
- Flexible availability is required for a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude.
- Commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independently.
- Quick thinking, adaptability, and dependability.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and listen.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
- Work safely in conditions involving heat, cold, allergens, noise, and fumes or odors from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
Nice To Haves
- Previous retail, cashier, or customer service experience is a plus but is not required.
Responsibilities
- Greet every customer warmly and with a friendly attitude.
- Provide a fast, accurate, and professional checkout experience.
- Promote current sales and specials, and suggest additional products to enhance the customer experience.
- Accurately and responsibly process transactions, including alcohol and tobacco sales in accordance with legal age requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store, including fuel islands.
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with fresh, organized products.
- Help maintain foodservice and coffee areas by cleaning and restocking.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and labeling procedures.
- Support team members and complete additional duties as assigned.
