About The Position

As a Retail Cashier, you greet customers, provide a friendly and efficient checkout experience, and help ensure customers leave satisfied. Most of your time is spent at the register, with additional work stocking, cleaning, receiving deliveries, and supporting the overall customer experience. The role is part-time, with a listed shift of 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., in a 24/7 store operation. The listed pay is $17.50 per hour.

• Must meet legal age requirements to sell regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
• Frequently stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch, and talk and listen.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Work safely in conditions involving heat, cold, allergens, noise, and fumes, chemicals, or odors from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile and thank them for their business.
• Provide fast, friendly, and professional checkout experiences.
• Promote store specials and suggest additional purchases.
• Ring up sales accurately and follow company policies, including policies for restricted product sales such as alcohol and tobacco.
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store.
• Restock shelves, coolers, and displays as needed.
• Assist with cleaning and stocking the food service area.
• Follow food handling, preparation, storage, and sanitation procedures.
• Rotate and properly label inventory.
• Receive deliveries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
