About The Position

Love’s cashiers work in a fast-paced environment, keep work areas clean, and provide customers with fast, friendly, and accurate service. They help customers locate items, answer questions about products and services, address customer needs, complete cash-register transactions, and offer additional sales opportunities while following state and local laws. Cashiers use a variety of methods and technology to maintain appropriate food-safety conditions for fresh food and deli products. The role also involves cleaning the assigned work area, sales floor, restrooms, showers, and gas and diesel pumps, as well as completing trash runs. Duties may vary with business needs, and employees may cross-train in Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles. No prior experience is required; training is provided. The position requires the ability to move and lift more than 25 pounds and work in various temperatures.

Responsibilities

Provide general customer service, including helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
Balance the cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities while complying with state and local laws.
Use methods and technology to ensure proper food-safety conditions for fresh food and deli products.
Clean the direct work area, sales floor, restrooms, showers, and gas and diesel pumps, and complete trash runs.
Adapt duties to business needs and potentially cross-train in Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
