About The Position

The Retail Cashier - Service Team Member delivers friendly customer service, helps customers find products and solutions, and provides a fast, friendly checkout experience. The role handles cash according to standards and engages customers with the Rewards program, Private Label Credit Cards, and Voice of Customer survey. It also supports online order fulfillment, truck unloading, stocking, planograms, merchandise recovery, store maintenance, inventory optimization, ad sets, shrink prevention, and safety programs. Team members follow company procedures and policies, interact respectfully, and help uphold the organization’s vision and values. The role is cross-trained in Custom Framing sales and production, with other duties assigned as needed.

This is a seasonal position at the DEN-COLORADO BLVD, CO store. The work takes place in a public retail store; customer-facing areas are climate controlled, while some stock rooms may not be. Some outdoor work may be assigned for retrieving carts or unloading trucks. The frame shop includes a glass cutter and heat press. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings. The position requires standing for long periods, moving throughout the store, frequent bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching, and lifting heavy boxes or accessing high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.

The listed total base pay range is $19.29–$22.60. Overtime compensation may be available in accordance with state and local laws. The application deadline is December 18, 2026. Michaels requires team members in this role to be at least 16 years old. Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods and move throughout the store.
• Ability to bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly.
• Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
• Must satisfy applicable federal, state, and local legal requirements for the job.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and find solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience and handle cash according to standards.
• Explain the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Educate customers about the Voice of Customer survey.
• Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS) processes.
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance, including merchandise returns and general store recovery.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and ad set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Follow standard operating procedures, company programs, policies, and standards to comply with applicable laws and requirements.
• Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner, remain positive in difficult situations, and promote the organization’s vision and values.
• Cross-train in Custom Framing sales and production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
