Retail Backroom (Production) Associate- Hardlines
About The Position
The Retail Backroom (Production) Associate sorts donations into sellable, salvage, or trash categories; prices items using the company guide; and identifies high-value goods. The role meets daily production goals and quality standards, transports donations to the sales floor, and stocks, rotates, and displays items. It also involves keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe, moving items to the compactor or dumpster as needed, and assisting at the donation door. Full-time hires must attend a full-day orientation in Buffalo. Compensation is $16–$17 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education.
Requirements
- Be detail-oriented and efficient.
- Be a team player willing to roll up their sleeves and work.
- Be physically capable of regularly lifting and moving donations.
- Assess item quality and value.
- Be reliable and punctual, and ready to work.
- Be able to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally and 50 lbs. frequently.
- Attend a full-day orientation in Buffalo if hired full-time.
