About The Position
The Retail Backroom (Production) Associate processes donated items for a retail operation. The role involves sorting donations, assessing item quality and value, pricing merchandise, and preparing items for sale or disposal. The associate also moves and stocks merchandise on the sales floor, maintains a clean and safe work area, and may assist at the donation door. Compensation is $16–$17.00 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education.
Requirements
- Ability to assess item quality and value.
- Reliable and punctual, and ready to work.
- Able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently.
- Detail-oriented and efficient.
- Able to work as part of a team and perform hands-on physical work.
Responsibilities
- Sort donations into sellable, salvage, or trash categories.
- Price items using the provided guide and identify high-value goods.
- Meet daily production goals and quality standards.
- Transport donations to the sales floor, then stock, rotate, and display items.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Transport items to the compactor or dumpster as needed.
- Assist at the donation door and move donations as needed.
