About The Position

The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety division is hiring temporary/on-call Retail Associates for Campus Dining. The role provides customer service in a fast-paced, multi-unit dining environment while helping maintain a clean, safe, and friendly operation. Associates may assist with food preparation, inventory stocking and rotation, point-of-sale transactions, dishwashing, and food-service safety and sanitation tasks. The position is temporary/on-call and requires late-night availability from 6 PM to 2 AM, including Sundays.

Requirements

• Available to work late-night shifts from 6 PM to 2 AM.
• Available to work Sundays.
• Able to manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
• Positive, respectful attitude and excellent communication and listening skills.
• Able to stand for extended periods, up to six hours at a time.
• Able to follow food-safety procedures for handling, storing, and serving food products.

Nice To Haves

• Previous food-service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests and exceed their expectations in a fast-paced dining establishment.
• Assist with food preparation as needed.
• Stock and rotate food inventories.
• Operate order and point-of-sale equipment.
• Follow brand standards accurately.
• Wash dishes and maintain a clean unit.
• Perform tasks related to retail operations and the safety and sanitation of food-service facilities.
