About The Position

The Retail Associate is responsible for billing and payment functions while providing strong customer service and following the company’s standard operating procedures. The role includes completing Tier II training, welcoming customers, employees, and vendors, assisting customers with purchases and returns, cleaning and stocking shelves, answering multiple phone lines, and supporting other employees. Other duties may be assigned. The workday averages 7 hours, with varied shifts. The employee may sit, stand, and walk as required by the daily assignment; the posting lists a typical workday as 85% sitting, 10% standing, and 5% walking, and notes a combination of standing and walking at 100%. Work is approximately 30% outdoors and 70% indoors. Typical environmental conditions are normal, with propane and gasoline listed as hazards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Must be willing to become propane certified upon hire.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks based on importance.
• Ability to communicate with customers, employees, and vendors using proper telephone etiquette.
• Strong team-player focus.
• Ability to handle money, give change, and record multiple transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Must present a professional and positive image.

Nice To Haves
